About Me

Hi, I’m Chris

OWNER |. COUNSELLOR
HOPE SPRINGS COUNSELLING SERVICE

There was a time in my life when I felt emotionally exhausted and stuck in patterns that left me questioning whether my needs truly mattered. Reaching out for therapy became a turning point. I experienced what it felt like to be seen and supported without judgment and learnt that lasting connection doesn’t require self-abandonment.

That experience now shapes the relationship counselling work I do. I support individuals and couples who feel unseen, unheard, or disconnected especially when communication feels stuck or patterns keep repeating. These challenges can emerge through parenting pressures, infidelity, or uncertainty about whether the relationship can continue. My focus is on helping you understand what’s happening beneath the surface, rebuild trust where possible, restore emotional safety, and gain clarity about the path forward whether that leads to renewed connection or thoughtful separation.

Alongside my lived experience, I hold a Diploma of Counselling, a degree in Psychology/Counselling, and a Master of Counselling and Psychotherapy. I have worked in counselling and community settings supporting clients with relationship and emotional wellbeing concerns, drawing on evidence-based approaches with warmth and clarity.

Having lived and worked across England, South Africa, Botswana, and Australia, I deeply value cultural, faith, and identity diversity.

Today I work as a relationship counsellor in Greenwood, supporting individuals and couples who feel disconnected or feel at a crossroads in  their relationships.

Start your journey towards a healthier, happier relationship.
