About Chris Briggs

Chris has always had a passion for counselling and assisting others in their life’s journey. This passion led to enrolling in a Diploma of Counselling which then progressed to a degree in Psychology/Counselling and a Master of Counselling and Psychotherapy. This comprehensive knowledge of theory and practice for counselling work has been utilised in counselling settings and community work.

Having lived and worked in England, South Africa, Botswana, and Australia, Chris is particularly sensitive to understanding people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, their cultural and ethnic origins and to people’s religious beliefs and sexual orientation.

As a skilled counsellor Chris uses Gottman's research-based tools and techniques incorporating Attachment Theory to help you and your partner improve communication, manage conflicts, and strengthen your relationship.

Chris implements the principles of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to help change negative thinking patterns and behaviours. With a goal orientated approach we will work together so you can live a more fulfilling life.
